Dave Tisdale, Lake Huron, magenta, mandala, red, summer, sun
© Kathryn Tisdale and The Mandala Pattern, 2010
If you listen,
not to the pages or preachers
but to the smallest flower
growing from a crack
in your heart,
you will hear a great song
moving across a wide ocean
whose water is the music
connecting all the islands
of the universe together,
and touching all
you will feel it
touching you
around you…
embracing you
with light.
It is in that light
that everything lives
and will always be alive.

Another sun image in recognition of the new summer. This one not only represents a sun, it is actually made with the image of one. (Source photo by Dave Tisdale at Lake Huron, 2005)

Beautiful colours and the fact that the original photo was taken by Dave makes it all the more special. I love the writing too! Still haven’t chosen my mandala yet. They’re all wonderful! You are so talented!
Thank you.
Yes, the Dave we’re talking about is my late brother Dave, of course. I have used his photography once before and I’m sure I will again. It does make it more special. As a matter of interest, I use his camera, too.
All those suns setting makes me think of the passage of time and mortality.
A profound response. I appreciate it.
